Hévíz

Hévíz is located at the shores of the largest thermal lake in Europe. It is only 6 km far from Keszthely, from Lake Balaton. There was a spa here during the Roman times, while the first written references from Héviz date from the 14th century. It is famed from its unique thermal lake with a surface area of 4.7 hectares and at its deepest 34 meters. The influx of water from underground springs is so great that the entire volume is changed every 28-30 hours, and the process is unending.

Kalma Villa - Hotel Kalma

Kalma Villa

The Abbazia group has opened its top new apartment-house near by the well known health resort Hotel Kalma. The Villa belongs in effect to the Hotel Kalma, within walking distance from each other (approx. 120 meters, partly upstairs).

The Kalma Villa has been completely rebuilt in November 2006. The resort is only 5 minutes walk away from the thermal lake, in the next street parallel with the pedestrian zone of Hévíz. The modern interior design of the 17 apartments and the exterior view of the typical 19th century mansion complement one another. The Villa’s building is one of a kind; it reminds visitors of the old times of the spa town.

All units have satellite TV, telephone, safe, kitchenette featured with microwave, coffee machine, toaster and fridge, bathroom with shower and toilet, and all of them are air conditioned. The guests have to check in and out at the reception of the Hotel Kalma, they can have breakfast, lunch, half board or just a cup of coffee in the Gyöngyvirág Restaurant & Café, and they can use the wellness area with whirlpool and sauna for free. The onsite health centre of the Hotel Kalma offers balneo, hydro, physio, light and mechano therapies, and awaits guests of both houses.
